How about posting a sentence or a paragraph of your recollections or favorite memories of your time at Pioneer? It might be interesting to share with others. Maybe we can collect them and put them together in a book for others to view. If your name is not your "username", please include your name at the end of your recollection so others can share your memories! Thanks, Kent Kittel

Boy, now is my chance...do I name names and tell all? NO... just memories.
To me high school was so much fun. It was like a big party. It was good friends (I still have to this day). It was gossip, and drama and silliness. Things I would not like now. I had a good high school experience. If I had to do it again, however, I would COMPLETELY change it. Seems odd doesn't it?

What the heck, here are a few:
Skipping English class when time to present speech.
Chris Clemmons rescuing me in stairwell.
Larry Adams' kindness and his life ending too soon.
Verbal exchanges w/ Bill Busch.
Having my brother check out whom I hungout with.
Not making cheerleading squad due to average grade.
French fries and chocolate shakes from cafeteria.
Friday night football.
Of course Pioneer hockey games.
Summer school to repeat Algebra.
No decent sports, mechanical drawing for "girls".
Mr. James Love.
Testing in music room-hated test taking.
Slumber parties and sneaking out of the parents house.
Ice skating at Almandinger Park.
And Kent, this one's for you. No need to print this in a book.

okay....I'll try.....but they aren't all pleasant.....being skinny, unpopular and the worst saxaphone player in the history of Pioneer high! Not going to any dances! (my fault)....Not being on the in crowd.....one of a thousand....what a drag...class was WAY too big. Not making the JV basketball team (I was only 5'4").....enjoying Mr. Carr as a teacher (I later tried to teach him how to swim at the Ann Arbor Y)...riding my bike to school watching Chrisler Arena being built! (man am I old!)...not having a girl friend because I looked like I was 12! (It paid off when I was 21). and finally....realizing 10 years after I graduated that life is tough...we all have struggles...and nothing is easy....but good friends are important! Lou Velker
