Scott Iverson, the son of John Iverson and Linda (Thielk) Iverson, (both are class members of ours) passed away at the age of 40, Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
He was born July 1, 1969 in Ann Arbor, MI. He graduated from Denton High School, Denton, TX. He served in the United State Marine Corps from July 20, 1987 until July 30, 1996. While in the Marines his occupation specialty was Infantry as an instructor and a recruiter. He received many distinctive awards including Combat Action Ribbon twice. He married Michelle Plouff on April 22, 1999. and they lived in Krum, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Iverson of Krum; daughter, Avery McKenna; stepdaughter, Caitlynn Behnke; father, John W. Iverson and wife, Sherry; mother, Linda Iverson; sister, Laura Ashford and husband Mike; two nephews; one niece; stepsister, Beth Martin and children; stepbrother, Brion Chanin Martin and children; Aunt Myra, Uncle Johnnie Rangler, Aunt Sandra and Uncle Bob Hagerdon, Uncle Lenney Thielk; grandfather, Richard Thielk; and cousins; friends, Robert and Melody Haney. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin and Theresa Iverson; grandmother, Elizabeth Thielk; and Uncle Robert Iverson.
A graveside service was held Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
